TASKS

The OECAM – founded 1989 in Venice – groups together a number of medium-sized primarily independent companies involved in the production of copper cast alloys, for example brass, bronze, red bronze and special alloys, as blocks, continuous casting or other formats.

It's tasks can be summarised essentially as follows:

  • Representing the companies and their interests vis-à-vis other European industries and European authorities in the economic and political context in order to create equal general conditions and prevent unfair competition
  • Promoting technical copperation among members
  • Producing statistics for the members in order to improve market transparency
  • Cooperating with other national and/or international organisations
  • Coordination of shared projects, e.g. investigations of copper alloys
